The first Greggs drive-thru has opened in Greater Manchester and it’s revolutionary

This is not a drill

The first Greggs drive-thru has opened at the Irlam Gateway service station in Salford. It’s not a pop-up, it’s here for good and hopefully the first of many.

The drive-thru will include the full menu from iced buns to steak bakes. Also on offer is the new Balanced Choice menu with sandwiches and salads that are all under 400 calories.

Greggs have said that it had given in to demands on Twitter. A spokesperson for Greggs has said: “Customers tell us that convenience is key. We’ve been working hard to take Greggs to where our customers need and want us to be including office parks, industrial estates, retail parks and travel hubs.”

“A drive thru offers the ultimate convenience and seemed the logical next step for us to take. We are excited to trial the concept in Irlam, Manchester.”

It opened on Monday June 5 and will be open from 6am – 9pm Monday to Friday, 7am – 7pm on Saturday and 8am – 6pm on Sunday.

Dreams can come true.
