A student has died in Richmond Park
Our deepest condolences to everybody affected
Bec OakesTributes are being paid to a first year student who died in Richmond Park earlier this week.
Emergency services were called to the halls after the body of the student was found in Poplar Court in the early hours of Monday morning.
Resident Life Advisors have visited all students living in Richmond Park and a full counselling service and support has been offered to those affected.
University life can be overwhelming for anybody and we urge anyone struggling or who is worried about a peer to seek help. The University of Manchester has a range of resources available to all students at counsellingservice.manchester.ac.uk.
Alternatively Samaritans offer a 24/7 helpline for those in need of an immediate response at 116 123.
The Tab would once again like to send our condolences to the student’s friends, family and anybody else affected at this sad time.
