What’s on: Bonfire night in Manchester

Remember remember free entry to Platt Fields firework display this Saturday

Firework displays

Both Platt Fields Park and Heaton Park are hosting, with free entry, funfairs from 5pm to 9.30pm and bonfires which will be lit at 7.30pm, with fireworks afterwards.

Wythenshawe Park’s fireworks display starts at 7.30pm. There will also be a funfair from 5pm to 9.00pm.

In Chorlton, the Horse and Jockey pub’s tradition will continue, with a children’s firework display on Chorlton Green at 7pm. The grown-ups can enjoy a more adult firework display at 9pm. There will also be an outdoor bar and barbecue all night- free entry.

Finally, Salford’s main display starts with a funfair at 5pm, followed by a bonfire from 7pm and fireworks at 7.30pm. Free entry at Buille Hill Park

Club nights

Platt Fields Park after party kicks off at Koh Toa after the firework display finishes just after 9:30pm.

If RnB is more your thing, you can head over to Suede night club for their monthly Kinky Lips event.

For all you edgy Fallowfielder’s, Antwerp’s Regression Session is back for Halloween part 2.

If funk/soul indie music is your vibe (basically for fucking cool people) you have a splendid choice between Urban Legends at 42’s, The Venue’s Indiependance (we see what you did there), or WAX at Soup Kitchen.

And anyone who dares to venture to princess street, ‘What you want saturdays’ is on at Fifth (basically a fancy way of saying another sticky shit cheap Fifth night out).
