Manchester’s very own Dog Café coming soon

Any dog who’s anyone will be at ‘Central Bark’.

‘Central Bark’ will be coming to Roundthorn Industrial Estate in Wythenshawe later this year. Tony and Tania Golden will be running the 14,000 square foot warehouse as a cafe, doggy day care, kennels and grooming.

The couple originally from Vero Beach, South Carolina hope to bring some U.S sunshine to Manchester with their ‘Beach Dog Cafe’, making sure canine owners and fans can get their “dog-boost” with their coffee.

The warehouse will consist of an artisan cafe decked out for the beach and four separate dog play areas for up to 70 dogs. A dog groomer will be on hand to ensure all puppies are pampered, whilst a kennel service accommodates overnight guests. After a day playing with so many new friends, any dog would need a nap.

Pet owners will be able to let their pups run free and play for a small fee. However all dogs will go through a personality test to gain admittance to Central Bark. “All dogs go through an evaluation process” Tony added “To make sure they’re sociable, to make sure they’re not dominant, to make sure they won’t have an experience where they feel overwhelmed.”

Central Bark will also have very special guests from local rescue centres; these dogs will be looked after by a member of staff and will be wearing a very fetching ‘Adopt Me’ t-shirt. Guests could leave with more than just beautiful memories.

The day centre aspect of Central Bark will be opening in December whilst the cafe will have a grand opening this January.
