‘Britain’s vainest man’ was attacked in Canal Street last night

His assailant walked away with a caution

Manchester socialite Ryan Staveley was attacked in the early hours of Saturday morning while on the dance floor of Kiki in the Gay Village.

While out with two friends the fashion and cosmetics manager, who claims to have bankrupted himself by spending £1,000 a month on clothes and cosmetics, was punched three times in the face and left bloodied and bruised with a possible broken eye socket during an unprovoked assault.

He told the M.E.N: “It’s disgraceful. The guy walked over to me and belted me for no reason, knocking me to the floor.

“It was completely unprovoked and I didn’t retaliate at all.”

Stavely has claimed a debt of over £22,000 in store cards alone in order to boost his self-confidence after a break up from an ex.

He also expressed his disgust at the caution which his assailant received from GMP after he and his friends were left covered in blood in the Canal Street club.

GMP confirmed they were called to the club at 2.53am on Saturday morning but Inspector Phil Spurgeon, of GMP City Centre, explained that  the caution was in line with Crown Prosecutions Service guidelines in common assault cases.
