Serious motorbike collision closes road in Deansgate
Another incident in Deansgate has left street closed for emergency services
Charlotte MatherDeansgate has been closed to allow emergency services access after a police motorbike collided with a woman near Spinningfields.
The incident happened shortly after 1:40pm this Thursday, according to Manchester Evening News. The section of road between Lloyd Street and Hardman Street has been shut.
The woman is reported to have been crossing the road when she was struck by the vehicle.

The woman’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, though she has been taken to hospital.
The motorbike was part of a VIP training exercise. Serious Collision Investigation Unit officers are investigating the scene.
A spokesman for the Greater Manchester Police said: “The road is expected to remain closed for some time and motorists are advised to find an alternate route.
