Style on campus: tartan
The Tab spots students wearing one of winter’s biggest trends.
Tartan is a huge trend for winter, from the practical scarf to the more adventurous coats and skirts we’ve spotted around campus! The Tab asks some of Manchester’s trendiest students how they feel about the explosion of tartan, and ‘trends’ in general…

Emily, 2nd year Art History. Emily is influenced by whatever trends ‘tickle her pickle’ and describes her style today as ‘schoolyard chic’.

Laura, 2nd year Politics, Philosophy and Economics. Laura asks the Tab the big question: ‘what are trends?’

Robyn, 3rd year, English Literature. Robyn doesn’t know how she feels about trends, but we love her scarf!

Charlie, 2nd year Politics, Philosophy and Economics. Charlie doesn’t follow trends, he makes them.

Lydia, 2nd year Linguistics. Lydia loves the tartan trend but feels it’s been ‘so overdone’.
