Sankeys comes home

Manchester’s notorious club is set to reopen.

Manchester Sankeys

A grand reopening is on the horizon as Sankeys is set to return to its spiritual home.

Rumours have been circulating about Manchester’s much-loved Sankeys re-opening ever since May, when they closed the doors at their Ancoats venue to focus on their Ibiza project in Playa d’en Bossa.

An anonymous major promoter has told Mancunian Matters that preparations are already underway for a grand reopening in the New Year. A string of DJs are already said to be lined-up.

David Vincent, Sankeys’ owner, is still keeping the club’s return under wraps, saying:

“Who knows what destiny will bring to Manchester in the new year?

“Nothing is confirmed.”

Full Moon Thursdays

Sankeys has a history of massive DJ’s including Fatboy Slim, 2 Many DJ’s, Nicky Romero and Laidback Luke in its last few months, and well established student nights like Full Moon.
