Reckless behavour as President candidate banned from union for slapping a girl
He is banned from the SU until March 8
Ollie ParsonsEd Reckless, one of the two candidates gunning for the SU President role, is currently serving a ban from the union for allegedly assaulting a female student.
After a night of boozing, Reckless apparently slapped the girl and was later escorted from the union by security.
Reckless is banned from the union until March 5 meaning he is unable to campaign at Stuesday, Hey Ewe and FND, arguably the biggest three nights of the week.
Reckless, the winner of Hall Chair of the year, was subject to intense questioning at the Bubble Debate last night where a member of the audience quizzed him about the night in question. The SU have received a backlash on twitter for not effectively controlling the audience.
Reckless told Label Online: “Regretfully, I have been banned due to out of character behavior on a night where I consumed far too much alcohol.”
Reckless has received an overwhelming amount of support on social media.
