Police raid cannabis farm on Paget Street

In the middle of the student triangle

Police smashed their way in to a house on Paget Street to seize an entire cannabis farm.

The house was raided by Leicestershire Police yesterday afternoon at around 3pm.

The police, who apparently arrived in riot vans, seized cannabis plants and cultivation equipment from the house situated in the middle of the student triangle.

The raid lasted over six hours as the police boarded up the premises and finally left at around 9pm.

It is unclear whether the occupants of the house were students or locals and as of yet, the police have not made any arrests.

Todd, a history finalist, who lives on Paget Street, told The Epinal: “There was a lot of banging around 3pm.

“I’ve no idea who the tenants are. My alley is the other side so have never met them.”
