Ollie ParsonsLast night an earthquake hit our quaint town. It ranked 3.8 on the Richter Scale and allegedly left locals “shaken from their beds”.
The tremor occurred in Rutland at 10:25pm and lasted 10 seconds
It echoed a similar shake in Winchester on Tuesday, which scored 2.9 on the Richter Scale.
The British Geological Survey said it had received 1,400 reports so far from people who felt the Oakham earthquake, including residents from as far away as Huddersfield.
