Ollie ParsonsLoughborough ranked in the top 25 for Finance, Media and Marketing in the recently released LinkedIn university rankings.
Despite ranking 13th in The Sunday Times, LinkedIn, which compiled data in relation to career outcome, saw us place only 14th in the country for Finance, 16th for Marketing and 25th for Media.
LinkedIn, a social networking site for the business community, compiled data from millions of graduates, analysing where they went to university and where they are now, as professionals.
Students who decide to pursue a money-making career in Finance, according to LinkedIn are most likely to end up working for either HSBC, Lloyds Banking Group, the Royal Bank of Scotland or Ernst and Young.
Unilever, Nike, Accenture and Sky are the top picks amongst graduates who are pursuing careers in Marketing.
For us creative types in the Media industry, the BBC, Sky and ITV are the top companies for which Luff graduates are employed. Unfortunately, LinkedIn suggests that students from Nottingham Trent are more likely than us to enter into this desirable industry following graduation.
