‘Not sure I like how it handles’
Ollie ParsonsStunned students walked past the car showroom on Belton Road to discover the remains of a smashed window. It is unconfirmed whether this is a test drive gone badly.
Staff were left bemused as the window was hanging precariously over the luxury car.
The incident took place at 17:00 pm.
Stephen Allwright, third year, and his friends walked past the scene moments after it happened, he told The Epinal:
“We think someone went for a test drive and accelerated too hard or something because all the cars are parked in front of the glass.”
It is believed that the car was driven from inside the showroom, due to the fall of the glass.
It was reported that an ambulance was later called to the scene.
