King’s beat us!
UCL has been ranked as the eight best British institution for employability, new survey suggests.
According to The Times’ Global University Employability Survey, UCL came 48th out of the 150 universities included in the ranking. This means it was the eighth best university in the country for producing graduates with the skills employers are looking for.
The California Institute of Technology came in first place as American Universities dominated the rankings, having taken six spaces in the top ten.
The British university with the highest employability ranking was the University of Cambridge, globally it was fourth. King’s College London came in 23rd with Imperial at 16th.
Universities were judged based on the skills that were highly valued by employers. Those in the U.K. highly valued communication skills, motivation and the ability to work in a team with much less emphasis on adaptability, flexibility and cultural sensitivity and awareness.
