The best Bonfire Night events of 2016

These are your best bet

This year’s Bonfire Night is fast approaching. This Saturday, the London skyline will be full of explosions and lights. But where to go to watch these? Here’s the answer.

Alexandra Palace

This year, the Alexandra Palace will be hosting not only a firework show, but also a small Oktoberfest! The event features a lot of beer, a lot of sausages, and an Elton John tribute band. The venue can be reached by getting off at Bounds Green, and walking from there.

The Saturday night event is sold out, but you can still buy tickets for Friday night (and those ones are selling out fast too). They cost 11 pounds each, and can only be bought online.

Wild Wolf Fireworks

For those who want to remember the fireworks, the Wild Wolf fireworks display would be your best bet. It’s located in the Bounds Green Scout Park and entry is just 5 pounds. According to their website, there’ll be Norwegian waffles, a BBQ and doughnuts. It’s also alcohol-free, meaning your safe from being vomited on.

Cleveland Square

If you want to go somewhere central, then Cleveland Square is the place to go. There will be BBQ and a full licensed bar. The event is from six until nine in the evening, so it’s ideal if you want to head to somewhere afterwards.  Tickets are £10 and can be bought here.

For those who can’t make their minds up

If you want to see multiple firework shows, the ArcelorMittal Orbit is the best place to be. The Olympic Park structure will be open from 6 pm, and will offer an amazing view of the London skyline. You can even enjoy the fireworks while going down inside the 178m long slide, which will be open until 8:30 pm.

Tickets are £15 but it’s definitely worth it!
