We’re finally going to get the Night Tube in August

About time

It’s a bit overdue, but London Underground has finally released a start date for the night tube service.

After a year of delays due to disagreements with London Underground workers’ unions, it has been announced that the all night service will commence on two major lines from 19th August.

The Central Line and Victoria Line will be the first tubes to operate on a 24-hour basis.

While this will not effect all tube services immediately, the Jubilee, Piccadilly and Northern Line will soon follow in the Autumn of 2016.

London’s new Mayor, Sadiq Khan, is fully supportive of the night tube service as an essential part of his plan to improve London transport and advance the “night time economy”.
