UCL Nails Uni Rankings

UCL joins an elite group of nine UK unis to make The Times’ top 100.

| UPDATED

The Times has released its global uni league table, and there’s good news: we made the cut.

Coming in at number 20, UCL joins an elite group of just nine UK universities to make the list – with only Oxbridge and Imperial beating us.

The Times Higher Education Supplement’s annual World Reputation Rankings – a spin-off of the World University Rankings – is based on reputation among scholars, rather than results. In other words, it’s based on uni big dogs’ personal opinions, rather than official world rankings.

But who cares? We made it.

Thrashing LSE…

Oxford and Cambridge were the only UK unis to feature in the top ten, and were placed third and fourth respectively. Notable snubs include Exeter and Durham.

Other UK institutes to make the cut include:  LSE (25), Edinburgh (46), Manchester (47), King’s College (70) and Bristol (91).

UCL: A uni of champions

It’s a great day, UCL. We’ve made it.
