Line Up Announced: Naked Calendar 2013

If you’re not currently waking up to a naked water polo team sporting Movember moustaches, your bedroom’s clearly missing something very important.

Since 2010, the annual UCL Sports Naked Calendar run by UCL Marrow has been an overwhelming success. UCL Marrow, a student branch of Anthony Nolan, is a charity which keeps an international bone marrow register enabling live-saving matches to be found for people with blood cancers such as leukaemia and lymphoma. Last year, the UCLU Sports Naked Calendar sold out in just 36 hours raising over £600 for UCL Marrow.

And who better to fill that empty spot on your wall than our UCL sportspeople? For them it is an encouraged weekly occurrence to undress freely and take showers together – and all within the realms of social acceptability.

To get everyone excited for this special cause, and with thanks to UCLU Sports Officer, Eleanor Trezise, The Tab has exclusively acquired a list of clubs who are set to have photo shoots early next week.

The calendar is set to be as follows:

January – Snowsports
February – Men’s Football
March – Netball
April – Waterpolo
May – Cheerleading
June – Boxing
July – Lacrosse
August – Squash
September – Women’s Hockey
October – Women’s Rugby
November – Ultimate Frisbee
December – Boat Club

Alongside the photo shoots which will take place early next week, UCL Marrow will be providing opportunities to sign up to the bone marrow register – it’s as simple as spitting in a cup and filling out a form. Check out their Facebook group for more details: www.facebook.com/uclmarrow

Calendars will go on sale for £7 in the last week of the Autumn Term outside Gordon’s Cafe in the UCLU building. Due to last year’s high demand, an additional 150 calendars will be ordered but make sure you get in there early to avoid disappointment. Let the perving commence!
