UCL 1sts delivered a comprehensive victory over a defiant Holloway side on Sunday, with a massive score line of 46-12.

In a less than close encounter, UCL were able to brush aside competition from Holloway’s mixed 2nds with some ease.

However, the margin was not all it seemed as the goal count was doubled due to the previous fixture between the sides being cancelled. This meant two 23-6 victories in one game for the squad.

The game, played away at Holloway’s Egham ground, was dominated by UCL’s scorers, with Ethan Friskney Adams delivering an impressive 9 goals. Holloway’s 2nds put up a good fight, but the challenge was too much for them, with Simon Vaughn, Ed Collony and Gaia Stucky de Quay amongst the other scorers.

As the sun shone down on the game, the only real setback for the away side was an ankle injury for Anna Herdman, although the knock was not as bad as it first seemed.

The weekly ‘Man of the Match’ award went to Stucky de Quay for a particularly impressive attacking performance whilst the ‘Wanker of the Match’ award was given to Vaughn for an audacious ‘under the leg’ shot.
