Clubber attacked at Heebie Jeebies on Thursday night

The clubber was slashed from his eyebrow to his mouth

A 24-year old man was rushed to Whiston hospital early Friday morning with serious injuries.

The vicious attack happened in Heebies Jeebies on Seel Street. The male victim was slashed from his eyebrow to his mouth in a chilling "random" attack.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, a friend of the victim said: "He was out in the club and was slashed all the way from his eyebrow to his mouth, I just think people need to know what is going on, this is happening all the time."

Heebies is a very popular club with students, home to Quids In every Thursday night. The club offers £1 entry and cheap drinks all night, making it a hotspot for students within Liverpool.

A spokeswoman for Merseyside Police said: "Merseyside police received a report just before October 19 that a man had been slashed with a knife across his face in Heebie Jeebies, Seel Street, Liverpool."

"The man was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are described as serious but not life threatening.".
