Hollywood actor and heartthrob Tom Hardy has been spotted filming for Peaky Blinders series four in Liverpool today. He was seen on Dublin Street in Vauxhall, just north of the city centre and was whisked away by car at around 8pm this evening, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Hardy, famous for playing characters such as Bane in The Dark Night Rises,  has resumed the role of Londoner Alfie Solomons in the hit BBC drama.

Hardy was spotted in North Liverpool, just outside the city centre. Dublin Street is marked on the map.

Peaky Blinders’ filming has been active in locations across Liverpool this week, including Toxteth where lead actor Cillian Murphy, who plays Thomas Shelby, was spotted only 6 minutes drive from the student area of Smithdown Road. Toxteth has been transformed into 1920s Birmingham for the filming, with Kinmel Street, South Street, and Powis Street being ‘redecorated’.  Vintage adverts, retro cars and horse and carts have been seen in the area.

The BBC drama is based upon the exploits of the Peaky Blinders gang in Birmingham after the First World War. Although set in Birmingham, large parts of the filming for all the series has taken place amongst the terraced houses of Liverpool, and across other locations in the Merseyside area.
