The man found dead on Brownlow Hill yesterday is believed to have been homeless. Police have identified him and confirmed that he was of no fixed address.

The man, in his 30s,  was discovered opposite Crown Place yesterday, in some bushes. Emergency services were called to the scene just before 8am. Police initially feared that the death was suspicious, but foul play was ruled out earlier today.

This is the second time a rough sleeper has died on the streets of Liverpool this year, following the death of a homeless person in a city centre gateway in January.

To report a rough sleeper, call 0300 123 2041 or email [email protected], and outreach workers from the Whitechapel Centre will provide a rapid response to support them.
