Liverpool is getting a massive ice slide this Christmas

The Ice Festival is starting this month

Not long after recovering from our Halloween hangovers, we begin Christmas season, and with that comes the yearly Ice Festival by the waterfront in town. The festival will be held near the Pier Head with work beginning this Sunday, and opens on the 12th of November.

The massive 45m ice slide costs £5 for 3 slides and you can also have a go at ice skating on the 600 square metre ice rink located next to the slide itself, whether you’re a professional or have the balance of a 2 legged cat.

With prices starting at £11 for Adults and £10 for students, the ice rink will be open from 11am everyday until 9pm on weekdays (except Christmas Day) and 10pm at weekends.

In true Christmas style, a variety of alcohol and hot drinks will be available including mulled wine, as well as food from the Bavarian food stalls. For a bit of music, the Apres Lodge will have has guest DJs every Friday and Saturday night.
