Tinie Tempah has dropped out of tonight’s Bongo’s Bingo
He’s being replaced by Wiley and Ms Dynamite
The rapper pulled out of Liverpool’s most notorious bingo night on Wednesday due to ‘unforseen circumstances’.
The sold-out event, which is usually held at Camp and Furnace, hosts its ‘Massive Birthday Bonanza’ this weekend at Cains Brewery to celebrate turning one.
Tempah is currently disturbing Dubai and hasn’t made any mention of his absence from tonight’s Bingo on social media.
However organisers announced on Facebook yesterday “48 hours ago Tinie Tempah pulled from our birthday due to unforeseen circumstances with his label.”
“We were absolutely gutted. Every cloud etc. Pretty much all of our budget was gonna be spent on Tinie and we’re pretty confident that we actually have a bigger and better night on our hands. Instead of a 1k prize let’s go 5k!
“Win a lovely Caribbean cruise with Virgin cruises! Drive away in your very own Porsche. Instead of one artist we will go two. Wiley and Ms Dynamite! As my grandmother always said “What would you rather do love? Hear pass out live or drive down the dock road, top down, top off, in a Porsche” 88. x”
Second year communications student Lowri is glad she didn’t cough up the £25 for a ticket: “I kinda feel like they didn’t replace him with people who have the same amount of star power, so it’s a bit of a disappointment for those who are going.”
Attendees can expect live performances and the usual antics from Johnny Bongo, with bigger prizes than ever before.
