Liverpool has been voted the friendliest city in the UK

We beat Manchester, again

91 per cent of Scousers agreed that Liverpool is the friendliest city in the UK, according to a YouGov poll.

The results proved that the North is more welcoming than the South with Newcastle, York and Manchester all featuring in the top five.

68 per cent of Liverpudlians also said they find the people in their city attractive, putting us below only Brighton and Cardiff.

This newest title is the most recent of many – there is nothing we can’t do. We’ve already bagged the crowns for being Destination of the Year, one of the safest cities in the UK and one of the top 30 universities in the UK.

We’re just dead sound.

Second year Communication student Jess couldn’t agree more: “I love it here.  Everyone is so friendly. I feel like its just the Northern spirit.”

Psychology second year Jade thought of a few reasons of her own: ” It must be something about the accent.  I love it so much! And the chips and gravy…everyone’s nice after chips and gravy.”

We’ve got it all, looks and personality.  Classic Liverpool.
