Birmingham man arrested over Concert Square stabbing

It happened on Sunday morning


A man has been arrested after leaving another man critical on the floor of Slater Street 

Police were called to Slater Street, off Concert Square, around 3am on Sunday morning after reports that a 29-year-old man had been punched outside Projekt.

The attacker then allegedly ran away and knocked over a 44-year-old man who hit his head after falling onto the pavement.

He is now in hospital in a critical but stable state where he is being treated for what is suspected to be a fractured skull that caused bleeding on his brain.

A 41-year-old man from Birmingham has been arrested in relation to the assault, and he is currently on bail waiting for further charges.
