Man charged after bomb hoax on 86 bus on Smithdown Road

He’s been charged with communicating false information

A 28-year-old man has been arrested soon after claiming he had a bomb on a bus on 9th October.

Farid Badri, who plead not guilty, appeared at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court and was charged with communicating false information with the intention of creating the false impression that a bomb was present.

The incident occurred at the junction of Gainsborough Road and Smithdown Road

Badri spoke to only confirm his name and address and plead not guilty.

The case was passed to Liverpool Crown Court after Magistrates declined jurisdiction where Badri is due to appear for on 30th November for a case management hearing.
