Jim Dale, senior meteorologist at British Weather Services, told The Echo: “From about June 3 onwards, we’re going to see warm weather coming up from the Mediterranean, which will lead to the highest temperatures of the year so far.
“In Liverpool you can expect temperatures to peak at 25 to 26 degrees.”
