Josephine, a second year Hispanics student, told The Tab: “Smithdown is a horrible place to live at the moment. Walking up the road, especially by the Asda, feels so eery.

“They say bad things come in threes, but when is all this havoc going to stop?”

Merseyside Police said: “Detectives investigating the murder of Kevin Wilson have executed a warrant at an address on Wendell Street, Toxteth, today Sunday, 15 February at approximately 1.45 pm.

“A search of the premises was undertaken and no arrests were made.”
