The perfect date outfits

It’s that horrendous time of year. Christmas came and went… no luck. New Year you necked on with a bottle of vod. Valentine’s Day; not even a card from your Dad. Any motivation for dating is dwindling slowly but surely into a pathetic heap of washed out underwear and bleached stained sweats.

Your outfit for a first date should be the ideal combination of (in the words of Coco Chanel) classy and fabulous, as well as having the effortlessly cool aspect. In this case we recommend a pair of fashion forward denim jeans, a feminine top and elegant heels. It tells your date you’re willing to dress up but you ain’t wasting those killer dresses on him yet. Keep him intrigued.

If you’re further down the line and are ready to spice up your outfit then we’ll take it up a notch. As much as the boys love a bit of skin they appreciate a classy gal. So pull out your favourite body-con or fitted dress, but keep those pins of yours hidden with a pair of tights to keep it PG 13.

However if your date is a picnic in Sefton park (if so ditch him immediately and take up his offer again in June), then you probably don’t want to be strutting up to it in heels and a skin tight dress. For a more casual outfit try an adorable knit jumper and skinny jeans. Dress it up with simple jewellery to show off your graceful effort.

But if you’ve reached that definitive fifth date and are ready to pull out all the strings. Then you’ll make him like putty in your hands with the ever faithful LBD.  The little black dress can simply never fail and it is the ultimate date outfit. It’s quite literally a girl’s best mate and will very quickly become your date’s too.
