In defence of the Scouse brow

A recent study branded them ‘a beauty sin’, but we wholly disagree

A recent survey by Escentual branded the Scouse Brow the worst beauty no-no, with 21.2% of participants calling it the top beauty sin. This, in my eyes, is a travesty.

Why would you argue with God?

The Scouse Brow is the staple of any make up regime: why would you want to go outside looking bald when you could go outside looking FABULOUS? It not only accentuates your natural brow line and brings more attention to your eye make up, it frames your face and provides a sound basis for the rest of your make up.

Look at the skill…

I for one have been sporting the Scouse Brow since the age of 17: being from Liverpool (shout out to the commenter who told me to ‘piss off back down South’) it only seemed right and proper. 4 years later, and I have waded my way through 4 compacts of Benefit’s ‘Brow Zings’ (in varying shades, depending on how browtastic I feel like being), about 5 tubes of Mac’s tinted eyebrow gel and have spent a hefty wad of cash making sure my eyebrows are threaded and waxed to perfection.

I have never regretted this expenditure, as when I dare to bare my au natural brows I resemble something that resides in the Wirral.

One ponders the reasons why women have such an aversion to the Scouse Brow. Perhaps it is because they prefer the ‘natural’ look, or simply cannot be bothered spending 10 minutes every morning pruning their eyebrows to perfection.

Regardless of the reasoning behind their misguided decision, I can only recommend that they get off their lazy arses and pick up an eyebrow pencil: more is definitely less, and a bit of effort wouldn’t go amiss.
