Big freeze hits the Pool

Winter hits Liverpool as temperatures are set to plummet over the next few days.

Those of us not totally immersed in deadlines and coursework will have noticed that Liverpool has become extremely cold lately.

This is due to a phenomenon known as ‘Winter’ happening, with symptoms including cold weather and days being either grey and miserable or dark and miserable.

Grim

Scousers have been seen to be wearing extra thick trackies, and fortunately, patrons of the Sydney Jones have already been prepared for the situation.

A few showers arrived the other day:

We’re under there somewhere, take our word for it

The weather has already turned for the worse, with the walk to uni becoming more like an Arctic trek.

Sleet, hail, battering winds and torrential rain are all taking their turn.

Carnage and destruction

The forecast for the rest of the season is for it to get even worse, with snow already spotted in some parts of the country.

Next week will be a short term improvement though, with temperatures possibly reaching a sweltering 11°C.

And at WORST it’ll only be -3°C…
