Delta taxis increase fares by 10p a mile

The recession has truly hit Liverpool as Delta taxis lately announced their fares will be increasing by a massive extra 10p per mile.

Cash strapped students may soon be left to walk the final stretch to town, or risk being unable to afford that seventh chilli tequila shot in Ca Va.

Failing that, they may have to get the 699 into Liverpool at an ungodly early hour, before midnight.

Delta have so far refused to comment, so we’re the ones left to guide you through.

So what does the price hike mean in real terms?

10p is the equivalent of most of a packet of Asda Value Noodles;

200% of your RDA of E numbers

Or half a Freddo;

2 miles is one whole Freddo that Delta have taken from your pocket

Or just less than half of a can of smart price beans;

And don’t even think about being able to get toast

It’s all the bloody Tories’ fault.
