Figures released from the Complete University Guide now rank our beloved uni as being in 38th place- seven places down from last year.

No one likes a windy and rainy city

Out of the Russell Group unis listed, Liverpool actually comes in last.

The survey also puts Liverpool University miles behind rivals Manchester who are currently in 25th place.

We rank 32nd for English (down five places on the previous year), 23rd for Medicine (down one place), and 56th for Politics.

Great news if you’re a vet, though! Liverpool is ranked 5th behind Glasgow, Edinburgh, Royal Veterinary College and Cambridge.

But don’t despair too much. We’re still 44 places above JMU, 47 above Edge Hill, and Hope weren’t even on the list.

In other news, Liverpool ranks 81st in the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey.

It seems people at UoL have had a really shit year. In last year’s survey, Liverpool came in 43rd place.

Even JMU seem to have a better time at uni, ranking 62nd (20 places up from last year).

But all is not lost. We reckon Leeds is the grimmest city anyway.
