Residents of Smithdown were airing their dirty laundry in public
Students gazing bleary-eyed out of the windows of the 699 in the morning may have spotted something unusual at the top of Smithdown Road: Liverpool Development Park had grown a giant washing line.
The display was the idea of artist Maxdoubt
The rather fetching XXL underwear was not a warning sign of too many meals from Chesters, but was in fact to promote an outdoor cinema festival that happened last night.
Old photographs and home videos from residents of the area were projected onto houses to show what life in Liverpool was like in the past.
The festival aimed to take away all the annoying warmth and comfort of your typical cinema-going experience.
On Thursday, the line was taken down; it had presumably finished drying.
