SIFE: Help yourself to help others.
SIFE is a not-profit organisation enabling students to develop schemes that have a positive impact upon communities around the world.
Through direct education and support by a variety of businesses, students can help those who need it most by providing them with knowledge, skills and confidence.
SIFE Liverpool are currently working on three projects:
- Employability 101: tackling youth unemployment in the Merseyside area
- Business without Borders: encouraging students to develop their own business ideas (think Dragon’s Den)
- LEGS: a free smartphone app allowing students to easily find out what’s going on in the local area

“I joined because it is a way of helping others and improving the lives of people in need. It is a great opportunity to gain practical experience and boost my CV and to get to know like-minded people.”
