Unspotted at LJMU

Liverpool John Moores University falls victim to the latest crackdown of Spotted pages across University campuses.

‘Spotted at LJMU Library’ offered students the chance to ‘tell the cute blonde how you feel,’ and the opportunity to tell the loud group near you to ‘stfu.’

However, the kill-joys at LJMU weren’t enjoying the page as much as its students, forcing it to close and  denying Liverpool students the right to laugh at those who wear evening wear to the library.

What all the fuss is about

Following a crackdown at the University of Liverpool, John Moores staff have followed suit. Their complaint described the page as breaching strict policies about ‘bullying and harassment.’

The owners of the page were offered an ultimatum, it was to shut down or they were to face disciplinary procedure.

Inevitably the owners of the page were forced to relent and the page has been subsequently shut down.

The Tab recognises the seriousness of bullying over the internet, but it looks like the University has over-reacted to something that was only a bit of a laugh.

Yet again Universities across Liverpool have shown that they are seriously lacking in a sense of humour…
