Students will question MP Andy Burnham as he visits the university

Labour MP Andy Burnham, known as the ‘Mr Nice Guy’ of Parliament, will visit the University of Liverpool today.

The Shadow Health Secretary, who is ranked 41st sexiest MP, will attend a speech on ‘Whole Person Care’ at a King’s Fund event.

He will then visit the uni for a speech and Q&A session with students.

Attendance is free and the event will take place at 7pm in the Gilmour Room, accessed via the new Guild Reception.

Liverpool-born Burnham is approaching his twelfth year in Parliament and served in Gordon Brown’s government.

The former leadership candidate once tried to claim 99p in parliamentary expenses for an IKEA toothbrush.
