Worry mounts over disappearance of local man.
Catherine ReidConcern is growing around the unusual disappearance of John Ankers, who has not been seen since Sunday morning.
John Ankers went missing around 10:15am on Sunday
The local Wirral man has not been spotted since he left for work on Sunday morning.
It has now been nearly three days since 28 year old John Ankers was contacted or seen by anybody.
Police are appealing for any witnesses who have seen him.
John is 5ft 8, medium build with short, dark brown hair.
He might have been travelling towards Birkenhead on Sunday, although he is also known to visit Liverpool City Centre, West Kirkby, Heswall, Royden Park and Thurstaston beach.
Anyone with any information is urged to call the police on 101 or to contact the Missing People charity on 116 000.
