Jason Osu Murder Wavertree

Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was gunned down outside his house in Wavertree.

Jason Osu died today after being targeted by gunmen.

Jason Osu, 31, died in hospital today after he was shot in the skull, face, arms and chest last week.

The shooting occurred outside his house, located near the student areas of Kensington and Smithdown.

Two masked men attacked Jason Osu as he was parking his car last Monday evening.

The assassins were reportedly waiting for Jason Osu outside his house for up to 40 minutes.

Although Jason Osu has no links to organised crime, his brother Mark was suspected of gang related violence in Liverpool back in the 90s.

Detective Chief Supt Paul Richardson, leading the investigation, said:

“Clearly he has upset somebody, it was a determined attempt to kill him and that’s what we need to get to the bottom of.”

Police are appealing for any witnesses and urging anyone with any information to contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
