The Student Wardrobe: The Christmas Jumper
The humble (or ugly?) festive jumper is the first to be featured in The Tab’s “The Student Wardrobe” series.
As a hardworking student, you spent the vast majority of the remains of your loan (post-Carnatic outlay) on textbooks for your course, and perhaps one or two of Concert Square’s finer establishments. In September, Liverpool was clinging onto the dregs of Summer, but now it’s cold and you can’t afford to put the heating on. To prevent frostbite whilst looking cool, The Tab suggests you go for the well-established remedy: the christmas jumper.
How The Tab wears
As it goes with absolutely nothing in your wardrobe, you’ll be able to wear it with just about everything. Here the £1 charity shop buy has been layered with American Apparel shorts and thick tights.
How fashion bloggers wear
Livvy throws her cable knit jumper on top of a novelty print dress (from Primark!). With the collar peeking out from underneath, the whole outfit goes together perfectly.
Eloise wears a more subtle jumper from H&M with disco pants and an oversized bag, resulting in a more casual weekend look.
Charlie plays into this season’s oxblood trend. Teamed with smart trousers, it could be formal, but the polka dots ensure the look’s not too serious.
