Bring on the carnage
Carnage is back and set to take Liverpool by storm. The Tab will be there to see which of you have managed to pull off the t-shirt and which of you really haven’t.
Voted the UK’s number one student event, Carnage is back and set to take Liverpool by storm.
Come Sunday, hundreds of students will invade Liverpool’s hottest clubs sporting the Pimps & Hoes theme.
The event has already sold out online and as a result an extra 150 t-shirt tickets have been issued.
The official Carnage Facebook page states: “We will sell out…Will you miss out?” Subsequently, the page has been rammed with promoters urging students to get their tickets fast.
Not for the faint hearted, Carnage is renowned for its destruction of students.
For those lucky enough to have a ticket, The Tab will be there to see which of you have managed to pull off the t-shirt and which of you really haven’t.
Our very own Fashion Editor, Georgie Moore, has even put together a few style do’s and don’ts to ensure you wake up the next morning, outrageously hungover, lying next to that insanely attractive fresher reeking of Sambuca and cigarettes… mmm!
GIRLS
Bandeau – Cut your top, horizontally, into the shape of a long rectangle, making sure the print is central. Wrap it around your chest and get your mate to tie it at the back.
Perfect with some high-waist shorts.
Crop – Simply cut the bottom half of you top off and leave the neck high to give that American Apparel, 90’s look. You can keep your sleeves and wear it baggy or chop them off (which is my preference!)
Nice with an A-line skater skirt.
Oversized – To get that ‘boyfriend’ look! Buy a large tee and wear it as a dress. Fold the sleeves up ever so slightly and adjust them with paper clips or a few stitches if you’re handy with a needle and thread.
Fresh with some high knee socks or hi-top trainers.
BOYS
Vest – All of you posers on the sports teams, I imagine this will be your choice. Just cut the arms off and unstitch the crew neck, cutting it lower, so that you’re showing more cleavage than the girls.
Girls, avoid these at all costs.
‘The TEE’ – Buy a large sized Tee and fold up the sleeves, similar to the girl’s Oversized look. You could even cut the sleeves, only slightly though, so that they sit a little bit passed your shoulders (which is my preference!)
Looks fit with a pair of skinnies.
Remember, the theme is Pimps & Hoes so adding a tacky garter or perhaps fishnets should help you achieve your target, girls. Boys, just take you’re a-game and a cane!
And finally, make sure you’re not ‘that guy’, or ‘that girl’ who thinks it’s funny to let their mates draw a penis on their back and venture into town. A real style faux-pas, it just makes you look like, well…a dick.
T-shirts are still on sale in HOT N TENDER on Smithdown Road and WALKABOUT which sits on Concert Square.
