Lincoln’s best dressed students: Let’s have a brew in week two

Welcome to the second week of Lincoln’s best dressed students. Another week in and Lincoln students are killing the fashion game with their creative looks. Jackets and long sleeves are still a must at the moment as the weather is still gloomy, we just all want summer weather already.

If you are in need of some inspiration to keep warm and stylish in these cold weeks, have a look at the best dress students in Lincoln:

Scott – Computer Science

Where is everything you are wearing from?

My jeans and belt are from Next, my shirt is from Uniqlo, my t-shirt is from Primark, and my shoes are Nike Air Force.

What are your favourite items you are wearing?

I would say my shoes.

What are your favourite clothing brands?

Nike and Uniqlo.

Do you shop from any independent companies?

I do sometimes but not really.

What would you describe your style as?

I don’t really know, I never really think too much about what I am wearing. Just what feels conformable really.

Han – International relations

Where is everything you are wearing from?

My jeans I have had since I was 14, my shoes are from Vans, my long-sleeved top is my girlfriend’s so I’m not sure where it’s from, and my t-shirt, I saw the design online and I liked it so I went somewhere to get it printed on a t-shirt for me.

What are your favourite items you are wearing?

I would say my necklace which I got from my dad.

What are your favourite clothing brands?

I don’t really know, I wear so many different stuff. I do like Doc Martens though.

Do you shop from any independent companies?

I shop a lot at charity shops, I spend so much time there.

What would you describe your style as?

I don’t know, I honestly have no idea I just kind of wear what I want to wear.

Milo – Accounting and Finance

Where is everything you are wearing from?

My jacket is from Urban Outfitters, my jumper is from Supreme, my jeans are from Next and my shoes are from SWC.

What are your favourite items you are wearing?

My jumper as I got it at the original price.

What are your favourite clothing brands?

Wtaps and Visim which are both Japanese brands

Do you shop from any independent companies?

No, I don’t think so, I prefer to just of on website I know so I get the correct size.

What would you describe your style as?

I would say a Japanese style, I’m a big fan of that type of style and try and incorporate it into what I wear.

Kayleigh – English and Creative Writing

Where is everything you are wearing from?

My top is from New Look, my jacket is Levi’s, my jeans and raincoat are from Primark, and my shoes are Vans.

What are your favourite items you are wearing?

My favourite item is my shoes as I got them for Christmas and they’re platforms so they make me look taller.

What are your favourite clothing brands?

Probably Nike, Vivienne Westwood and Asos.

Do you shop from any independent companies?

I try to and I have before, I don’t really buy clothes but I try to shop independently whenever I do.

What would you describe your style as?

My style would be casual as I’m at uni and go with low effort but still put together.

Mikael – Accounting and Finance

Where is everything you are wearing from?

My jacket is from Beaster, my shoes are from Balenciaga and I’m not sure where my trousers are from.

What are your favourite items you are wearing?

Definitely my Balenciaga’s.

What are your favourite clothing brands?

I would have to say Balenciaga.

Do you shop from any independent companies?

Sometimes I get items from village shops, but other than that not really.

What would you describe your style as?

I would say I have a High street style, I like to stay on top of the trends.

Alice – English and Mayci – Sociology 

Where is everything you are wearing from?

Alice: My jacket is from Topshop, my skirt is from a charity shop, my top is from H&M and my shoes are Doc Martens.

Mayci: Both my tops are band merch, my socks are from H&M and I think my jeans are from New Look but I’m not sure.

What are your favourite items you are wearing?

Alice: My Doc Martens for sure.

Mayci: I would say my t-shirt.

What are your favourite clothing brands?

Alice: I don’t really know, I’m not really a fashion person really.

Mayci: I like H&M and I wear a lot of music merch.

Do you shop from any independent companies?

Alice: Sometimes but not really, only if it’s affordable

Mayci: I am similar, I like Bad Monday but I’m not sure if they count as an independent company anymore.

What would you describe your style as?

Alice: I’m not sure what do you think.

Mayci: I would describe Alice’s style as an edgy librarian. I would say my style is more grunge.
