Valentine's Day is here, and with dozens of restaurants and pubs offering valentines menus, we've compiled a few of our personal faves for the perfect Valentine’s Day date.

Valentines Day is about showing that one special person that you've been accidentally kissing at Quack since Freshers that you really do care, and these places will do just that.

Waffles on the Waterfront

Swanky

Found in the lobby area of the Doubletree by Hilton, Waffles on the Waterfront is the perfect spot for both Valentines and Galentines dates. Pop in for freshly made waffles on the 14th between 10am-8pm and enjoy the views as you overlook the waterfront.

Waffles can be topped with maple glazed bacon or even scrambled egg and if you’ve got a sweet tooth, why not try a waffle topped with custard, strawberry jam or hundreds and thousands.

The restaurant also uses eco-friendly take out packaging and wooden cutlery, just to make your valentines day a little more environmentally friendly, and make you look sensitive and thoughtful.

La Trattoria da Vincenzo

This family-run Italian restaurant is the perfect spot for date night, and serves family-owned dishes that are refreshingly different to your typical Italian restaurant along the Brayford.

The restaurant can be found just off the High Street on West Parade and regularly hosts themed nights with dishes from different regions of Italy, bringing a piece of Italy each month to Lincoln.

Pop in on Valentines Day for a taste of their set menu, with two courses starting at around £20 and locally sourced ingredients.

Bunty’s Tea Room

If you’re looking for somewhere a little cosier and casual to spend the day, Bunty’s is the place to be.

The independent tea room can be found half way up Steep Hill and offers a nostalgic experience with its cosy interior and décor whilst being nestled between the historic shops of Steep Hill. Take a look inside for homemade cakes, scones or a light lunch.

La Bottega Delitalia

If you don’t fancy a walk-up Steep Hill, La Bottega Delitalia can be found just off the high street. With authentic Italian foods, the family run café has been named one of the best places to eat in Lincoln by The Guardian.

La Bottega Delitalia has been a hidden gem within Lincoln for over a decade and offers a gorgeous intimate feel that is perfect for Valentines Day with a menu ranging from handmade Pasta dishes, Paninis and tasty Italian desserts.

Ole Ole Tapas

Ole Ole is a slightly different place to spend your Valentines Day, much more sophisticated than your go-to meal at Spoons. Dedicated to bringing a slice of Spain to Lincoln, the Spanish tapas bar can be found at The Lawn on Union Road.

Pop in for a delicious taste of Spain alongside a warm atmosphere to make your Valentines Day even brighter. A trip to Ole Ole is one way to make your February feel a little less chilly, with a warm atmosphere and a romantic outside terrace and large wine menu on offer too. It even won Restaurant of the Year in 2019.

Make sure to book before hand for this Spanish cuisine, the venue is very popular, as people who get enough of the amazing food and lively atmosphere.
