Thief snatches laptop from student flat on Bank Street

The culprit made off with the Lincoln student’s laptop after getting in through an open window

A Lincoln student’s laptop has been stolen after a break-in on Bank Street.

The incident took place on Monday 27th January between 6pm and 10pm.

But the culprit didn’t have a hard task on his hands – as a statement says the offender got into the flat through an open window.

Police have urged students students to be more careful – reminding students to be aware of burglars and to keep windows closed and locked at night or when they are not in their rooms.

A laptop was stolen from a flat on Bank Street on Monday.

Police have also advised not to leave valuables such as laptops on display in front of ground floor windows, as this makes it easier for burglars to reach and steal.

As well as this, on Monday afternoon, two men aged 17 and 22 years old were arrested on Portland Street, Lincoln on suspicion of theft of an oven from the University of Lincoln student halls on Campus Way.
