Lincoln gets Monopoly board

Monopoly puts Lincoln on the map in its new game.

The city of Lincoln has had a new makeover, monopoly style. The classic board game has been adapted to the city for its latest theme.

Forget Mayfair, this version of the game includes some of Lincoln’s most popular sights including Lincoln Cathedral, Castle and University. The sights were chosen by members of the public who voted earlier this year.

James Hollow, a huge board game enthusiast from Lincoln, says: “It is really cool to see familiar sights in this format.”

Hollow said “I hope it will get more local people interested in the game, but also hope it can gain Lincoln more tourists, as the game has done a wonderful job of presenting the highlights of the city.”

The new game seems to have been embraced by the public as it is being sold in many big name stores across the high street. You can collect your copy from such stores as W H Smiths and Waterstones. The game can also be purchased at Amazon.com.
