Police involved in an incident on Leicester’s campus
Three police vans, a broken bench and an abandoned car
Verity BowmanThis evening Victoria Park had police tape everywhere. It quickly became clear that a crime took place at Leicester’s Students’ Union earlier involving the money delivery service and a car abandoned near the Victoria Park Health Centre. Police officers were searching the area with torches and the car was later towed away.
Near the Attenborough entrance to uni one of the benches had been knocked over and a second police van was parked nearby.
The Santander entrance to the Students’ Union was completely taped off with a third van outside and the Detective Inspector was unable to comment on any details on what’s actually happened on our campus. He did however reassure us that everything is under control and no one is seriously hurt.
