Kasabian announce homecoming gig to celebrate Premier League success

They’re throwing Jamie Vardy a party

It was in Leicester where Kasabian were born into the rock band they are today. Last night they announced their return with a huge homecoming gig at the King Power Stadium.

It’s going to take place at the end May, to fit in with Leicester City being on track to winning the league for the first time ever.

The band last returned to their home city in June 2014 with a huge gig that saw 50,000 people flood Victoria Park.

The announcement was made on Facebook. The band’s lead guitarist said: “This has been an unbelievable year for the city and it seemed like the perfect thing to do this summer. We cannot wait to throw the city the greatest party they have ever seen. Sergio. X”

With tickets on sale today, and Leicester potentially taking the title for themselves if they win at Old Trafford this Sunday, this weekend promises to put Leicester in the limelight.
