‘David Gest Is Not Dead But Alive With Soul’ tour ‘may’ be cancelled

The late David Gest was due to make an appearance at De Montfort Hall in July

The UK tour for his show David Gest Is Not Dead But Alive With Soul was due to start in July, with a show set to take place at De Montfort Hall on 6th July. However, after the shocking announcement of Mr Gest’s death, the hall issued a statement informing ticket holders of the “uncertainty” concerning the tour’s continuation.

Sparks of outrage hit the internet following the embarrassing misunderstanding on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year, where reality TV personality Tiffany Pollard mistook David Bowie’s death for fellow housemate David Gest. The 62-year-old music producer seemingly made light of the incident as the title of his show is believed to have been a reference to the event.

Following Tiffany Pollard’s exit from the Big Brother House, designs of t-shirts that read: “David is dead” were sold. Concerning recent tragic events they have since been removed from sale.

Mr Gest passed away in the Four Seasons Hotel in Canary Wharf, London, yesterday.
