SU gives out free massages at ‘relaxation station’ to help with exam stress

Breathe deeply

From a giant inflatable slide to a bouncy castle, the University of Leicester have really been going hard lately to help us all relax.

Their latest gesture is a free massage parlour in the SU, offering students ten minute sessions.

A “relaxation station” was set up in the SU where students could pop in to get themselves a back massage and ease all the tension from revising long hours, while on their study break.

All they had to do was book in a slot and enjoy the stress oozing out of them for a little while.

A friendly team of professional therapists were on the go from 10.30am until 5.30pm.

Stress finalist Jennifer Horsfall said: “It’s a really good idea, I’m gutted I missed the chance for a free massage. I think it’s more worthwhile and more obviously stress relieving than things like the petting zoo we’ve had before.”

They will be back on the June 3 to help students relax towards the end of the exam period.
